6 Ways To Tackle Your Laziness Towards Exercising

Feeling tired after a long day or simply just lazy or unmotivated to exercise? Try out these 6 tips!
1. The 1 Minute Rule
Picture
Whenever you feel lazy to exercise even though you want to, I want you to challenge yourself to do any exercise for just a single minute. It could be a minute of push-ups or sit-ups or jumping jacks. Whatever, just do it for a minute. If you feel that you are ready to do more, then go ahead with whatever workout that you have in planned. Else, stop, resume the activity you were doing before and try again in an hour or another day.

The 1 Minute Rule can also apply to tip 2, 3 and 4.
2. Convenience Time

Convenience Time is what I would categorise as an idle time and/or a complementary time for a quick workout. For example, in the morning when you are waiting for your coffee to brew or water to boil, throw in a quick exercise session. Since you are idling, why not do something beneficial for your health. Or for example, 10 minutes before your bath time, do some quick exercises, sweat it out and just nice, you are ready for your relaxing warm bath.
3. Go with the Momentum

Similar to the concept of Convenience Time, tagging along the momentum after doing something physical can help improve the chances of a workout session happening due to the increase blood flow. For example, after changing bedsheet or walking back home from the bus station, no harm getting a quick workout session done since you’re probably sweating or feeling that increased heartrate.
4. Just Follow

To remove that mental barrier of not knowing what to do, how to do, how much to do, you can simply search for “Home Exercise Routine” in Google and you’ll find tons of workout plans for you to choose from. If you are unsure whether you are doing a proper form, you can always opt for workout videos on places like YouTube. Simply put your phone in front of you and follow their real-time workouts and instructions and you will be on your way to a healthier day. Here are some YouTube workout channels that you might find useful:

5. Spice Up your Daily Task

Sometimes, a simple tweak to your daily task can go a long way in getting your health back to shape. For example, sitting on an unstable surface without backrest can improve your trunk stability and posture. Standing in the public transport instead of seating can improve your balance and foot stability. Or simply take the staircase instead of the elevator. So take a moment to identify such opportunities and start your change tomorrow!
6. Get A Personal Trainer
Picture
Trust me, once you throw your money into Personal Training, you will not find any more excuse to not work out. Even if you do, your trainer will not let you go that easily because that his/her job, to get you to exercise. But do take note that there are those that requires you to go to their gym and those that can travel to wherever place that is convenient to you. So do look out for them and choose the ones suitable for you.

Leave all the goal setting, workout planning, progress tracking, repetition counting to them and just enjoy the quick torture session. But I promise you will feel less guilty and more accomplished after and you’ll be thankful to have exercised that day.
